I am a linguist working on formal syntax, semantics and prosody with a special interest in experimental syntax and semantics.
Currently, I’m an Assistant Professor in the the Department of Philology at the University of Crete, where I teach Linguistics. I am PI of the HFRI-funded project (Direspeech: Interpreting Directive Speech Acts in child and adult language: The role of form and prosody), see project information and funding here.
Before this, I worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the
I received my Phd from the Department of Linguistics and Philosophy at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. My thesis is about covert modality in root contexts, investigating imperatives and subjunctives with a focus on Greek and English.
